Our Story
We’re Ellen and Andrés—a story woven across continents and cultures.
Ellen is the lead wedding planner and designer at Una Vida Moments, certified by the Wedding Planners Institute of Canada (WPIC). Originally from Sweden and raised in Singapore, she brings a passion for creating beautiful, meaningful spaces shaped by a professional background in interior design, hospitality, and travel consulting. Years of living and working abroad have given her a global perspective and a deep love for intentional design rooted in personal story.
Andrés was born in Guatemala and has spent his later years in Canada. With a background in logistics, vendor coordination, and team management, he’s the steady hand behind the scenes—building trusted relationships and ensuring every detail runs seamlessly. His love for people and natural eye for efficiency bring strength and support to every celebration.
We understand the joy—and at times the challenge—of having your heart stretched across continents, and the beauty of bringing loved ones together where distance fades and love takes center stage.
Together, we’ve been fortunate to travel and live in many parts of the world—experiences that have shaped our perspective and deepened our appreciation for what it means to feel at home in more than one place. Today, we split our time between Vancouver and Mexico. We understand the joy—and at times the challenge—of having your heart stretched across continents, and the beauty of bringing loved ones together where distance fades and love takes center stage.

Our love for the Mayan Riviera runs deep. We said “I do” here in 2022—surrounded by turquoise waters, warm sun, and the vibrant culture that makes this region so special. Planning our own wedding opened our eyes to both the beauty and the challenges of creating a meaningful celebration from afar.
Since then, we’ve returned again and again, building lasting relationships with local vendors and the community we’re now proud to be part of. Una Vida Moments is more than just the two of us—we collaborate with a trusted local team with over 15 years of experience to bring your vision to life with excellence and heart.
