Trip Dates: March 14 to March 22, 2026

The trip begins at the Welcome Dinner in Antigua on March 14, 2022 and ends upon arrival to your hotel in Guatemala city on March 22, 2026. You may arrive earlier and leave later according to your own schedule, and we can provide suggestions on where to go, stay, etc. but we are only involved in the planning of the trip's itinerary within the mentioned dates.

How much does it cost?

The total cost is US$1699. To book you must pay a 50%

deposit as soon as you receive the payment link and the

balance by February 22nd, 2026. You can save almost

$200 if you book your spot before January 20th.

Limited Availability

In order to provide the best experience we must limit the availability to 10 people. You will be travelling with people from all over the world plus two local Guatemalans who will show you around and give you insider knowledge of language, culture, traditions, etc. A true cultural exchange!

I cannot join this time, will there by other dates?

We want to host 3-4 trips/year, but it is too soon to tell. If you are interested in a future date, please fill out a form and let us know so we can consider your request.

Why do I need to sign a travel agreement?

Travel involves inherent risks. This agreement ensures everyone understands responsibilities, risks, and limitations of liability.

Does this mean the organizer isn’t responsible for anything?

The organizer is responsible for reasonable coordination but not for events outside their control or third-party actions.

What if I get sick?

The organizer will tend to and accommodate for any special circumstance affecting anyone in the group within reasonable care, but every participant is ultimately responsible for their own medical care and costs. Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

Will we follow the itinerary exactly?

We will do our best to stick to the plan; however, itinerary may change due to unsafe weather, safety, or logistical issues. These changes do not create liability from the Organizer to the participants.

What happens if someone behaves irresponsibly?

The organizer may remove participants who jeopardize safety or group harmony.

Can I opt out of photos/videos?

Yes, by notifying the organizer in writing before the trip.

Are flights included in the trip price? No, flights not included and they must be booked by every participant according to their preference and need.
Is travel insurance mandatory? Not mandatory, but highly recommended.
What documents do I need to travel?
You will need:
- A valid passport (usually valid for 6 months beyond travel dates)
- Required visa (if applicable)
- Flight tickets
- Copies (digital + printed) of all documents
Will airport transfers be provided? Yes, there will be one airport pickup (on March 14th at a time that accommodates the most people possible) and airport drop-off (on March 22nd or 23rd) following the last night of the trip. Further, participants may make their own travel arrangements if their schedules do not align with the included transportation, and we are happy to assist with coordination if needed.
Is there free time for personal exploration? Yes, there is designated free time for independent activities.
Are entrance fees included? Yes, all entrance fees for attractions mentioned in the itinerary are included unless stated otherwise.
Will there be a guide with us? Yes, a local guide accompanies the group all the time. Additionally, some activities and tours will have additional specialized guides.
What transportation is used during the tour? Most of the trip will be on a microbus. However, depending on the tour, transportation may include tuc tuc, domestic flights, or private vehicles.

What type of hotels will we stay in? For this trip, we have arranged for accommodation, focusing on safety, cleanliness, and amenities.
Will I be sharing a room? Rooms are usually for double occupancy in separate beds (twin, double or queen), so you will most often be sharing with one more person. Single rooms may be available at an extra cost, subject to availability. Please let us know when booking.
Can I request a hotel upgrade? Yes, upgrades may be possible at an additional charge, subject to availability.
Are meals included in the trip? All breakfasts are included and selected lunches/dinners as mentioned in the itinerary.
What if I have dietary restrictions (vegetarian, halal, allergies)? Inform us in advance. While special requests are accommodated where possible, availability may vary, and we will do our best to accommodate.
Can I eat local food during free time? Absolutely. Free time allows you to explore local cuisine at your own discretion.

What payment methods do you accept? We typically accept credit/debit cards, bank transfers, and other secure payment methods. Accepted options may vary by country.
Is my booking confirmed immediately? Your booking is confirmed once we receive your deposit and send you a written confirmation email.
Are tips included in the trip cost? Tips are not included nor required. You can tip if you want. Our only hope is to share an unforgettable experience.
What if I need to cancel? It may vary depending on the scenario. Please refer to our cancellation policy for a complete guide on cancellations.
Can I change my travel dates? Short answer is no. The next travel dates are not confirmed and will be subject to availability and may involve additional costs.
What happens if the tour is canceled by the agency? If we cancel the trip, you will receive a full refund.
What happens if I cannot participate in an activity? Alternative arrangements may be available, but refunds are not provided for the pre-booked activity.

What is the average group size? Group size will be no bigger than 12 people. A very exclusive yet fun group size.
What if I get separated from the group? You’ll receive contact details of the tour manager and instructions on meeting points and timings.
How much cash should I carry? Carry limited cash for small expenses and use international debit/credit cards where accepted. We can discuss further during our pre-trip info sessions.
Can I exchange currency at the destination? Yes, currency exchange is available at airports, banks, and authorized exchange counters.
How should I behave in the destination country? Respect local customs, traditions, dress codes, and laws. Cultural sensitivity is essential and expected from all travelers.
Are there rules regarding alcohol, dress, or photography? There are minor restrictions around drone videography/photography. The pre-trip info session will highlight these as well as behavioral guidelines to respect local customs.
How much luggage can I bring? Our recommendation is to travel as light as possible, and ideally with a backpacking bag. We will be on the go always. It’s so much easier on yourself to carry a backpack! Packing guidelines will be provided in our pre-trip info sessions.
What should I pack? Packing lists vary by personal reference. Even though we suggest packing light we will cover all the must have items. A recommended list will be shared in our pre-trip info sessions.
Will I have internet access? Wi-Fi availability varies by accommodation and region. Remote areas may have limited or no connectivity. You will most likely have access to Wi-Fi every evening and mornings at the hotel.
Should I get a local SIM card? If you’re travelling for longer, a local SIM or international roaming plan may be useful.
Are activities suitable for all fitness levels? The only activity not suitable for all fitness level is the Acatenango volcano climb, which is categorized as . However, anyone in a healthy fitness level can do it. Please review this carefully before booking. Alternative activities may be available, but refunds are not provided.
Are there age restrictions? This trip is restricted to adults (18+ years old) that comply with section 5. Medical Fitness & Health Responsibility of the Travel Agreement at time of booking.
Will I receive pre-departure information? Yes. You will receive detailed pre-trip info pack including itineraries, packing lists, cultural tips, and emergency contacts.
